The Equitable Building: An Introduction
Hello all and welcome. I'm very pleased to foist upon loyal readers my new cycle of poetry, begun upon my arrival in New York City on October 2nd, 2018. That morning, I hit the ground running, with only the clothes on my back, and a mortal need to flee my home state of California. As I struggled to access services for HIV+ homeless psychiatric patients - to this day, I am baffled by the inhospitable treatment I received on that tip - I slept for months on the street in Chinatown.
Since that ignominious start, I've done my damnedest to live and be the New City I landed in. I made a big splash, saw lots of celebrities, had a few good dates with new men, got along as best as my shameless, partly indigenous character allows, and have written a scad of new poetry I think is sharply distinct in its mission from previous efforts at cantoetrespondu.blogspot.com and themanzanita.blogspot.com. I intend to forthwith publish my poetry written in the last three years (currently available on Instagram @wlliam.robert.way or on Tumblr at my WillWay40 account), and to publish most of my most recent poetry here from now on.
I am also a writer, photographer and artist. I now reside in a working studio in the Flatbush neighborhood of the borough of Brooklyn... Stay tuned.
