DIAGNOSES
There is so much to do, so much!
There is so much to do and so little time, it seems.
Dreams and visions, glittering and variegated
Dot and line the map of my memory.
Every jamais vu entreats me to live,
To occupy many flavors of worlds:
This one is concrete, inhabited by among millions
A woman in a tweed skirt suit, wire-rimmed glasses...
Her hair is in a bobbed wave; the air here tastes
Like chalk dust and sewer steam, and is colored autumn.
Still another world, a near future
Of excitement and rocket planes,
Filled with derring-do flashes briefly
Before my inner eye before it is then gone.
Not long, but not yet. For now,
We'll tell the doctor how we've been feeling.
[NOTE: I am bipolar II and schizoaffective. I have done two spectacularly beneficial LSD trips in my early twenties, and have used canniboids and stimulants regularly since my youth. I am liable to have odd trips and visions at times, and hear voices in my psychoses. I have temporal lobe epilepsy.]
