BITTER LIKE ALKALOIDS
(A little more about me: my mom has a baccalaureate in science - telecommunications - and is a 35+ year veteran of the phone company. She insisted on early reading for me, her firstborn, and autodidact habits as I was to be an unsupervised latchkey kid. As a result, I find that though I had only two semesters of higher education, I am nevertheless a winning speller and a Scrabble fiend; a reader; a singer; and a fine communicator. People could do a lot worse than confide in me, and quite a few lucky souls get to LOL 🙌. I also retain a basic scattershot proficiency in the Japanese language; and though in some eyes it's reprehensible, I still do the somewhat infantile California Mexican American pidgin Spanish thing...
